Foy-Get About It

The match is over and we are out of the FA Cup thanks to Chris Foy's trigger finger on his red card for Vincent Kompany in the 12th minute.  We were already down 1 goal when Foy was pressured by Wayne Rooney to give a card to Kompany. The tackle which didn't even touch Nani was a clean one, yet Foy  was determined to be the center of the match talk.

No Sound on the video, but you can see it was complete Bullshit!

A 10 man city would be down 3 goals by the end of the first half.  It gutted not only me, but every City supporter around the world.  I wanted to see a match of 11 on 11 today, the best team take all.  Instead I got to see 10 on 12.  I think most managers would have blown their lid on the sideline, but Mancini kept calm and waited until the half to adjust.

When City came out in the second half they played great defence and score twice.  The first goal a powerful free kick by Kolorav that shut the nae sayers up.  The second was a beauty by none other then Aguero who followed up his own shot that was blocked. United's Rio Ferdinand screamed at his teammates to keep pressing on.  There was even a point in the game when Stefan Savic cut his head open and had to go to the sideline to change,  United kept pressing to score another one.

I was not at one point disappointed in my club.  I was disappointed at Chris Foy for causing the game to be unbalanced and unfair over something that clearly was not what it was.  If Kompany had taken Nani down and he was injured, I would have accepted a red card with grace.  This was a huge match not only for the clubs, but the rest of the participants in the FA Cup competition were fixated on it.

Watch our Manager field these questions like a true pro:

With that I can tell you we won it last year, it is time to focus on other things now like the league, Carling Cup and Europa League.  The gaffer and the players are professional enough to know its no use crying over spilled milk or red cards that cause you to lose the FA Cup.  Onward and Upwards
