Match Ball Milner ; TV rights

I don't care what anyone says, James Milner has worked his tail off and its starting to really show.   He not only scored a brilliant one yesterday, he just seems to come up around all the big plays.   Super Mario had a utter brilliant goal in the 28th minute. He is blossoming.  He does need to stop with the angry man face though.   He may need need some coaching from the Zen Master Phil Jackson.

There is nothing like waking up 0930 for a 1000 match time here in the USA, rather be there but just happy it was televised.   During the half I spent un-following non-followers on my twitter.   I cannot figure out why people think they should just add you, you follow back then sometime in the next week or so they un-follow.  Twitter is a yawn when it comes to this.  I am really into Google + but not all my friends are onto it yet.

The second half really took off as it usually does for City.   Adam Johnson, Vincent Kompany and James Milner all scored.  Stephen Warnock had a late brilliant goal for Villa, but it was not enough to save his side.  David Silva also missed a sure goal, but Silva gets a pass because he is after all David Silva!   The pairing of Lescott and Kompany has become great as well.   They are just really tough in the back.  Speaking of tough, De Jong was back.  This man is super tough, shaking off a blow to the chest like it was a mosquito bite.   An all around great performance, hopefully that translates to a win against Villarreal this week in Champions League action.

I read this week how Liverpool would like there own TV rights for overseas broadcasts, steering away from the way things have been done with the league getting the  money and dispersing it.  I only agree to a point. The way it is now benefits all clubs in the league, but their partners they have in the USA are awful.  In the United States your choices are down to Fox Soccer which airs a few matches live each weekend and a few on delay.  ESPN airs only big name clubs occasionally, such as Manchester United or Chelsea.  If they could just get a full time partner that would show just about every match live it would be great.   Direct TV has a deal with the NFL to broadcast all the NFL games live.   If that can be done, I am sure the Premier League could get a similar deal for the league.

Well now the wait for Tuesday's action begins!
