Loyalty and Pride

Manchester City FC  has come along way since the late 1800's.  The club has always had its loyal fan base. They have been up and down with the club no matter what. In short, City fans took a lot of crap over the years from opponets to pundits and opposing fans. That changed when Sheikh Mansour took over.

The club has now been called "The Noisy Neighbors" "Manchester Billionaires Club" "Rich City" "Arab City" and a host of other names that I don't want to even talk about. If you suddenly got wealth, you probably would buy a new car, maybe a few brand new cars, a new house and live lavishly. The club has done that by getting new players, a new training facility and bringing that pride to the world stage! There has also been an influx of new fans.

What could be possibly wrong with all of this?  Nothing other then the fact we have impeded Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea.  They thought they owned the Premier League.  The only exception was in 1994-95 when Blackburn Rovers won the title.  Only four clubs have won the title since the EPL started in 1992.  That is not only ridiculously sad, its one reason that they feel resentment towards City.  We stepped on their playground and became a real contender.

Last season when we lifted that FA Cup you would think it would all be roses going into next season.  It hasn't been that.  There have been articles and TV announcers who decry anything we do, from buying a player to any substitution that Mancini does.  I think more then half of those writing these articles don't even follow the club, they have been too busy shoving their heads up United's ass that they didn't have the time to do a little research first.

I can take the spewing of rants towards Man City and the fans.  I can also give it right back  I believe in the club, I believe in the all the fans who I call friends. We could all walk tall even at the bottom, and walk even taller at the top.  Loyalty and Pride are virtues that Blues posses by birth.  That is what allowed us to gravitate to the best club in the world.

Superbia in Proelio is Latin for "Pride in Battle"

The fans in Manchester have actually spread their unquestionable kindliness around the world.  They have made the club approachable to all no matter where you are from.  They have shared that loyalty and pride to others and that is what will make this club even greater.
